Our Story
Two concepts, one dream.
The Vision Replacing the historic La Piñata, which served Old Town for 90 years, El Sueño (The Dream) is the brainchild of Pietro Busalacchi, his father Salvatore, and Gustavo Rios. Inspired by the lush, hidden villas of Mexico City’s Polanco neighborhood, the space is designed to feel as if "the jungle took it back," featuring massive stone Aztec designs, verdant faux-greenery, and mysterious lowlight.
The Cuisine Our menu, developed by Gustavo Rios, is a "Vibrant Mexican" journey that spans from the coast of Baja to the Huasteca region in the Gulf. We focus on authentic products transformed into modern ideas—think Lobster Queso Fundido, Crab Empanadas with sweet corn salsa, and Duck Carnitas. Every dish is a tribute to heritage, reimagined for the contemporary palate.
The Experience Centered around an expansive, tree-lined patio and two massive bars, El Sueño is built for the "real host" experience. While the main courtyard pulses with energy, a hidden speakeasy awaits those who have been along for the ride, offering an exclusive escape into a world of curated sound and high-end spirits.
The Bar Program Led by Pietro Busalacchi, the bar specializes in creative, high-quality tequila and mezcal cocktails. From the spicy carrot-infused "Bad Bunny" to the chai-tequila "No Tears Left To Chai," our libations are designed to be as visually stunning as the jungle surrounding you.
